Keeping Health Insurance In Your Budget

I feel it is so important to note that even during tough times when every penny counts, health insurance is one thing we should not give up. Think about it. It may seem like an expense you could do without for a short period of time, say until you get a new job or your business improves, but that short time can easily turn into a very long extended period. And unfortunately, accidents and illnesses do not wait patiently on the sidelines until you have health insurance once again.
I remember one time when we had no coverage of any kind. With my husband being self-employed, and me not working outside of the home, we are guilty of foregoing the insurance coverage from time to time to “save money.” My daughter was taking karate lessons and as fate would have it, one day in class she broke her arm. Between the emergency room visit, X-rays and orthopedic surgeon, our lack of health insurance ended up being one costly mistake we will never make again.
So if you are in between jobs, just out of college, or simply stretching your dollars every which way you can, please do not let you and your family go without health insurance. You can get a
free insurance quote for even short-term medical insurance. If you need a place to start, MultiNational Underwriters® (www.mnui.com) has a short-term medical plan, called Amigo, which is an affordable alternative to COBRA. This could be perfect for those that are newly hired and waiting for their insurance benefits, self-employed with no insurance and those looking for a new job.

What’s new: short-term medical insurance

In the midst of all the merry-making, I got to thinking about the year to come. What’s in store for me? As a stay-home mom, I don’t have any benefits. I don’t have the privileges of bonuses, car plans, salary loans, and health or medical benefits. That’s why some kind of health insurance would be my top priority for next year.

One can never be too sure of the future. It’s better to be safe than sorry. So the first thing on my to-do-list for next year would be to get a FREE medical insurance quote. Amigo is a short-term policy which is more affordable and flexible than Cobra. I’ll definitely inquire about this and check Multinational Underwriters at www.mnui.com to look for the best insurance and I’m hoping next year would be a better year for me and my family.

Peace of Mind While Travelling

There are a lot of people out there who do the same thing that I do:  they live, study and work overseas.  What they don’t know is that they can grab medical insurance that works internationally.  When I studied in Australia, I had to grab a special medical insurance but I never understood that I could be covered in both places if needed be.  One of the facts of life is that no one really knows when you will need the many benefits of insurance until the situation is happening.  We can’t be expected to only hold coverage in the USA when we’re not living there all the time and working around the world.  That’s where MultiNational Underwriters (www.mnui.com) comes in.  They can really help you out to provide coverage no matter where you are.  You can grab a free international insurance quote and let me tell you, you’ll be happy that you did.  I really wish I had the opportunity to do that before.  It’s absolutely something I need to look into before I head back and I will!  So if you’re thinking of working in another country, studying, living or visiting another country, I wish you luck and hope you enjoy your trip with a peace of mind knowing you’ll have that extra protection you need.  Nothing ruins a good trip overseas than possibly being in thousands of dollars of debt by the time you leave.

Again, good luck and happy travels!

Our faltering economy is having far-reaching effects on many people. One such effect is on the health insurance coverage of people (and their families) who have lost their jobs. These people are either ending up uninsured, or are forced to pay for expensive COBRA coverage.

There is an affordable option, however. MultiNational Underwriters has a short-term medical plan called Amigo. This is an alternative to COBRA that is affordable and will help keep individuals and their families covered.

Going Overseas, Consider International Travel Insurance

I travel overseas quite a bit, some for work and some for business. It is important to remember that your health insurance that you have in the U.S. rarely covers you if you need medical treatment outside the country.

I found this out on a trip to the Philippines where I woke up with a bad stomach ache. Fortunately the hotel clinic was able to handle it because I knew the hospitals require payment before you can check out and if it were serious it could have been quite expensive. It would have been so much easier to check with www.mnui.com before I went on my trip to ensure I was covered.

Before you travel overseas, check with your health insurance provider and if they don’t cover you, which most don’t, Click here for a FREE travel insurance quote.

It is better to make sure you are covered when you travel overseas and it will give you some piece of mind.

With the Dollar is coming back in value against the Euro and as we approach the end of the year, many people’s thoughts are turning (back) to international travel. In the rush to get on a plane and see (or is that flee) our far flung friends and family one thing that may slip off the to-do list is to check the level, if any, of medical coverage you take with you on holiday. Does your health insurance plan cover you and your family should a medical emergency arise? Perhaps you should examine international travel insurance.
At mnui.com they offer same-day coverage for these trips for as little as $1 per day, and that even includes emergency medical evacuation coverage. Coverage that can be provide real peace of mind, especially when traveling in areas with questionable medical facilities or where your language skills are not up to the level of a local.
You have nothing to lose and possibly everything to gain so why not give it a look.

Even if nothing goes wrong, you’ll be more relaxed and can enjoy your time abroad. Happy traveling!

Expect the Unexpected

When you’ve worked for a company that requires you and your team of engineers to travel around the world as much as my mine did, you know you need to look out for your people.  This was what happened when I was put in charge of all travel arrangements for my boss, the engineers and also the sales associates in the Spanish Company I had worked for. Affordable international coverage, costing as little as $1 a day per person, was definitely the best thing I learned about and took care of whenever we traveled.

We were in Vietnam sometime in 1995 and there were riots because a civil war had started.  Even though we were told that we were safe in the hotel, there was one afternoon in which we were hurriedly evacuated from the hotel due to more unrest in the country.  In the midst of all the turmoil I came down with a high fever and because of my travel insurance and their co-ordination with the hospital there, I was evacuated from Vietnam by helicopter, paid by the insurance company.  Whether you are traveling for vacation or business, never leave home without Travel Health Insurance from www.mnui.com, you can never be too sure about tomorrow and you need to be prepared.

travel health insurance…

I’m about to sleep coz it’s almost 2am here already. But I just read in a site (www.mnui.com) about the importance of travel health insurance or international travel insurance in general, so I’ll write my thoughts about it before finally going to bed. Indeed, travel insurance is very important since we can’t really predict the situations or happenings that will occur during our travel, especially with our health, so we better be safe and be insured. During my work days in Denmark and Norway, my hostfamilies availed a health insurance for me, so I can avail of free check-up and other health privileges.

Now that I am already here in Spain, I don’t have a health insurance yet. But once my papers are ok, then my employers will also start processing my health insurance. I am also excited to have it coz I want to avail of the free check-up since I am feeling something with my body lately. So, I need to visit a doctor to have a health check. If you are interested too, then just Click here for a FREE international health insurance quote.
